Covid19 Information

As we prepare to reopen we have had created a series of guidelines for members/clients to follow when using our facilities. These have been created with information provided to use by both the Government and Active UK.

Whilst these changes will no doubt feel unfamiliar at first, they have been developed to ensure client health and hope they do not cause a big disruption to workout routines!

Gym Sessions

We are now offering online booking for gym sessions via our Facebook page.

- - -

Bookings may be made 6 days in advance, limited to 1 session per day.

-

Sessions will begin on the hour lasting for a maximum of 45min.

-

Sessions are limited to a max of 3 clients.

Classes will continue outside as long as the weather permits. This means more clients can enjoy sessions. Please email [email protected] directly to book in or for more information.

Guidelines For Using The Gym

- Clients are asked to wipe down equipment used immediately before and after use with the provided cleaning materials. We also ask for continued use of hand sanitiser/hand washing during your visit.

- Social distancing is expected to be adhered to at all times including whilst waiting outside for you session to begin (see below about this). We have separated equipment (and blocked off other pieces) to ensure clients are appropriately distanced at all times.

- Clients are asked to wait outside until a member of staff invites you in, members will be asked to scan their fingerprint and non-members will have their contact details taken (1st session) or names noted for contact tracing purposes.

- Temperatures will also be taken upon entry via an infrared thermometer. If, unfortunately, your temperature is above the stated level we will be unable to admit you into the building. We ask clients to respect both staff and other clients should this situation arise, we are following governing body advice for the safety of everyone.

- Clients at expected to leave promptly at the end of the 45min session so staff can clean the common areas and prepare for the next session. This time also allows our air conditioning unit to filter the air.

- We will no longer be offering cups at the water fountain for the foreseeable future so members are asked to bring their own water bottles, we have some bottles for sale on site if required.

- Hand/sweat towels will also not be allowed on gym floor although blue roll will be available for use.

Face Masks / Coverings & Gloves

Face masks are NOT advised whilst exercising as they may inhibit the ability to breath properly. Recommendations are that clients do not wear them whilst exercising.

WHO advice is to avoid wearing gloves but to instead to continue washing hands and using hand sanitiser.

We will be providing hand sanitiser and anti-bacterial hand wash for clients to use when using the facilities.
